140 mph may be just a theory as I would suspect it would be hard to keep on the road once you hit 90 or above. These older GM low end units didn’t have great suspensions. Perhaps the seller spent an equal amount of money upgrading the suspension, but I doubt it.

Wow, that’s pretty bad ass. Although I’d ditch the 18's. Way too much wheel for this car.

Lol! Like I said, first time one has ever interested me. I’ll be 40 in 3 weeks. I’ll be sure and tell my wife I’m still a kid! Thank you!

Probably the cleanest Cavalier (First gen or not) that you’ll find in Minnesota. I like it.
However, I’m not sure that $7,000 starting point.

Local guy around here supposedly has a patent on the k frame to stick that engine in these and newer j bodies. Never driven one but I can imagine torque steer is epic.

You would need that front weight to help tame the torque steer and tire spin. I’d imagine this car would have massive understeer issues as well.

Fast Cavalier you say?
Meet a slow one. 1.6 NA diesel with about 55 bhp. It was even made as an automatic.

Yeah, I don’t think this thing handles too well, and I bet it torque steers like crazy. I still like it though :)

“No foreign crap”
He does know he's selling a Cavalier, right? This one is entertaining, but as a whole, they're disposable.

Yes...tempting. Except I had a 1984 Cavalier once- what a pos that was! And I had bought it new, so it wasn’t like someone had it before me and screwed it up. I have sworn off owning a GM product ever since.
